Revd Canon Fr. Confidence Bansah (PhD) Head of Christ College London Campus

Dr. Confidence Bansah is the Head of Christ College London Campus, where he leads both the academic and administrative functions of the institution. He is responsible for implementing the College's Strategic Plan and overseeing daily operations.

Dr. Bansah has held academic, lecturing, and leadership positions at Roehampton University, the University of Cape Coast, and SOAS University of London. His educational background includes degrees from Trinity Theological Seminary (Ghana), the University of Dubuque (Iowa), the University of Ghana, Spurgeon’s College London/University of Wales (Cardiff), and Reformation Seminary (Florida). He completed his postdoctoral studies at SOAS, University of London.

As an academic and scholar, Dr. Bansah’s research focuses on theological and religious studies, with a particular interest in the relationship between church and society. He is an active researcher and has published extensively. Dr. Bansah is passionate about creating an inclusive society.

In addition to his role at Christ College, Dr. Bansah serves as a member of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Multi-Stakeholder Working Group for the Government of Ghana. He is also a priest and Canon Theologian at St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral in the Anglican Diocese of Dunkwa (Ghana). He is a George Lombard scholar with the World Communion of Reformed Churches.

Dr. Bansah holds leadership and board positions with various organizations, including the Ghana Center for Religion and Public Life, Galeforce, and URC. He is a member of professional and academic societies such as the African Association for the Study of Religions, the Society for the Study of Theology, the European Research Network on Global Pentecostalism, and Free Churches Health and Social Care Chaplains England.
